Well, this was a pleasant surprise!For many years I'd avoided packaged ramen noodles as they seemed to be more filling than flavorful. Per a recent NY Times review, I decided to give the Nongshim Shin Ramyun Black Noodles a try and am now glad I did.The noodles are a good start. I cooked them for 4 minutes, getting an "al dente" consistency. The bone broth base and freeze-dried mushrooms & green onions provided a great flavor base mouth-feel. I used the full spice packet and found the taste to be very spicy, which I like. Others may want to try half or less of the spice pack at first.The value is clear. For just over $2 per packet, it's quite inexpensive and satisfyingly filling. I will very much enjoy the remaining 15 packages.
