I'm in good health, in my 60's, and have always been interested in alternative health practices/products/life styles. I was also a pastry chef at an Italian restaurant that used to roast beef bones every week for stock. When the bones came out of the oven, we would descend on them like vultures, picking at the juicy, yummy pieces of roasted meat still clinging to those bones. Heaven! As I age, I have been looking for help with joint issues and skin youthening. One of the answers I've found is collagen. I've been looking at bone broth and man, is it expensive! I kind of understand, as the process is long and tedious but the cost of the ingredients is nill so I don't really get it and feel like we are all being taken for a ride. I decided to try this bone broth because of several things. It is still expensive but so are they all. But it is very convenient and the cups are recyclable. I was pretty sure I would like it, but pleasantly surprised at how much! I add a pinch of hymilayan salt to mine, which I set on the largest mug setting of my Keurig. I have it just plain for breakfast, right now, but I could also see it as the base for some great easy soups in the winter. I don't really want to pay that much every 10 days but until I am ready to make my own, probably never, I will keep purchasing these. Very portable for a mid afternoon pick-me-up at work, too. Very tasty if you like the taste of roasted meat and marrow. Good source of protein and collagen.
