This broth is SO much better than the ones that have MSG in them - and most of them do! I am not particularly sensitive to MSG, or so I thought! All I know is that when I started this ketogenic diet, I needed to take in sodium to combat dehydration, and I was told to have broth. I found the Knorr brand in the store and it has MSG, except I didn't know that, and probably wouldn't have thought anything about it had I even known it had MSG. When I drank the Knorr, the broth was heavy, the fat collected on the sides of my cup (disgusting!), and I retained water like mad! I gained 5lbs of water in 2 days! And how did I know that? Because I was weighed at the clinic, which has one of those fancy scales that tells you WHAT the weight gain/loss consists of!!However, with this brand (Herbox), although it still has a lot of ingredients I would not normally ingest, it's a very light broth...no fat collection on the sides of my cup...no MSG...and no water retention! It is very tasty actually with the added herbs and flavor. The only thing I didn't like was having to purchase so many at once. I don't drink this often, so I assume these jars will last until I am 80 years old!
