Harney & Sons is proud to introduce Golden Milk in an 8 ounce tin, part of our new wellness blends collection. A traditional Ayurvedic beverage, we've masterfully blended organic turmeric with other herbs and spices to create this dreamy caffeine-free elixir that can be enjoyed anytime. How to make a golden Milk latté: set a small saucepan over low heat. Add your milk of choice, 1 teaspoon of golden Milk powder per cup of milk. Optional add-ins are sweetener of choice and additional spices like a cinnamon stick or black pepper. Whisk until combined. Bring to steaming, just below a simmer. Do not let it come to a boil. Keep just below a simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove the cinnamon stick If you added It. If you added other spices that need to be strained out, strain using a fine mesh strainer then return to the pan. If you like your latte on the sweeter side still, you can add a dash of vanilla. Use a frother to froth the tea, if desired. Pour into a mug and spoon the froth over the top. Serve.

The blendability receives mixed feedback, with some saying it's perfect while others report it doesn't dissolve well. Customers describe the effects as soothing and comforting, though some experience stomach discomfort, and the strength is noted to be stronger than herbal tea. The texture gets mixed reviews, with some finding it creamy while others describe it as lumpy, and while some consider it good value, others find it pricy.

Recent User Experience

This was my first time trying this kind of turmeric tea drink. Delicious! Spicy and warm. I could not care less about so-called therapeutic benefits, all whole and nutritious foods have benefits, but if its good for you then all the better. Milk, however, is not good for me so I used water with a big splash of heavy cream. I think coconut milk might be great too. It was a bit strange in that I kept thinking I was drinking a mug of curry sauce. I wasn't a fan of the solid bits that precipitated to the bottom as I sipped and became like sediment. I didn't mind that they floated but concentrated on the bottom, that was less nice. The packaging was good. The tin design is very pretty and eye-catching (why else am I buying something I've never tried?). Some people have complained that the powder leaked in transit and ruined their other purchases but it seems there was a change in design. The tin I got is round and has a tight inner cap that was taped shut. I could see some turmeric stuck to the tape where it was at the edge of the cap, but no noticeable leakage. It is quite tight, my sister sent it flying when she opened it (which was after I already had). At any rate there is an outer cap as well, which is also decently firm, and that should be enough to keep your spice inside and your purchases safe. Some of these blends are very overpriced, probably because of how they market it as some health product that will save your life or whatever, a lot of it's a scam. You can make this stuff yourself too, you know. It's probably a pain. I think Harney and Sons' product is a great balance of convenience, quality, and price. And come on, look how cute that tin is! It absolutely begs to be reused, perhaps with more turmeric tea that you can buy in bulk with a more economical packaging.
