Excellent outdoorsman food for people with dietary restrictions. I am vegan by choice and I have celiac disease (not by choice) and these stews fit my criteria perfectly and are tasty, easy to cook and seem quite healthyI thought the portion sizes would be too small but suprisingly very filling in the field, if you pair it with a carb like mashed potatoes/camp bread etc. Without that, I would probably double up.They cook well in a camp stove, just make sure to simmer for a while and try not to burn yourself or spill it in the process. I used GI style canteen cups and it worked well mostly. You can control the thickness by water amount easily.These stored well in my buttpack on a day march.My favourite stew was the italian one -- would love to have more diverse flavours like italian, german, indian etc as these are mostly chilis. I didn't feel like these stews needed extra seasoning or spices and I thought they were decent on their own.
