In searching for an alternative to homemade chicken broth, I wanted a ready-made product with the same ingredients I'd use when making stock from scratch. So I was looking for organic ingredients with fresh -- not powdered -- spices and aromatics, and without concentrates or yeast extract. Bonafide's organic, unsalted chicken broth meets that criteria with clean, straightforward ingredients. But I have to admit the flavor is subtle. While it's made from chicken bones, so qualifies as a true "bone broth," if you want a more robust flavor profile -- especially if you like to enjoy it as a hot drink -- you may want to try Bonafide's Organic Chicken Bone Broth. But for most recipes, their regular organic chicken broth is excellent, with a clean and fresh, if somewhat subdued, chicken flavor. I find it perfect to add dimension to simple, fresh vegetable soups like puréed zucchini or cauliflower, without overpowering the veg with a more umami-forward chicken broth or stock. So glad I found this brand. As a professional recipe tester, I've been on a decades-long quest to find a superior quality ready-made chicken stock with only ingredients I'd use if making from scratch.
